We highly recommend a spray tan to all of our Brides. There’s nothing like a gorgeous, healthy glow in a white dress. To ensure a perfect tan & colour, we offer a Bridal Spray Tan Trial at a discounted rate. This discounted offer applies to Jen Evoy Makeup Studio booked Brides only.
*Please note, only one tan will be offered at this price and needs to be booked at least one month prior to the wedding date.
Appointment prep
Exfoliate and buff away any dry skin 24 hours prior to your spray tan appointment. This will make ensure the longevity of your tan by removing any dead skin cells and revealing fresh skin.
Do any hair removal at least 24 hours before treatment (if waxing ideally do so 48 hours prior to allow the pores to close back up).
Shower & moisturize generously the day before, ideally overnight. This will prevent dryness and provide the perfect tanning base.
Do not use DOVE soap, or any other soap that contains ‘SLS’. Using products with this ingredient may result in a streaky tan.
Come to your appointment with product-free clean skin, no makeup, deodorant, perfume or moisturizers.
Wear dark coloured, loose fitting clothing and sandals following your treatment. Preferably nothing with tight straps or waistbands.
Drink extra water leading up to your appointment
If possible have a manicure and pedicure done BEFORE your treatment. A pedicure can not be done post spray tan as it will remove the product.
after care
Do not get your skin wet during your processing time. Depending on the tan you get your spray tan tech will advise of rinse time.
Moisturize using a paraben-free lotion daily starting 24 hours post tan. Keeping moisturized will ensure an even, flawless fade.
Do not use DOVE soap, or any other soap that contains ‘SLS’. It will quickly strip and ruin the tan.
Do NOT scrub, use a loofah or exfoliate until at least day 7. Rest assured, your spray tan will naturally fade as you shower. Premature scrubbing will take the spray tan off in blotches.
Avoid chlorinated jacuzzis, saunas, and steam rooms.

Q & A:
How Long Will My Tan Last?
Our Tans will last anywhere from 7 - 10 days, on average. The amount of physical activity, after care, and proper preparation for the tan are all factors of how many days one can expect their tan to last.
Can I Spray Tan during Pregnancy?
The solution that we use is Ecocert organic. We have been safely tanning women during pregnancy. However, we always suggest consulting with your doctor beforehand.
How Many Days Should I Tan Before My Wedding?
For all the brides to be, we suggest scheduling your appointment 2 - 3 days before the big day. You'll want to be sure to shower at least 2 times before the wedding date. This will ensure all the product is completely rinsed out of your pores to avoid any colour rubbing onto your dress. We recommend a light, natural colour for Brides.
What If I Have Very Fair Skin?
If it is your first time tanning, or you have an extremely fair complexion, we suggest choosing a lighter tone to ensure satisfaction. Our experts are here to help you choose a shade that best suits your skin tone and desired look.
Will I Look Orange From a the Tan?
Never. We ensure a golden brown colour. Most all other solutions on the market contain beet or carrot fermented extracts, which is where the orange tones and/or unpleasant scent can stem from. We guarantee the highest quality, golden-brown results.
DHA & The FDA
The active ingredient in self tanning products is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA has been used in cosmetic preparations for almost 30 years and was listed with the FDA in 1973. It is declared safe and suitable for use in cosmetics and used to temporarily colour the skin. DHA is derived from glycerin (vegetable origin) which is a commonly used cosmetic and food ingredient. DHA is not absorbed into the body and poses no possibility of toxicity.
